Le Super Series Finals è il torneo che chiude la stagione e al quale partecipano i migliori 8 giocatori del mondo, anche se quest’anno alcuni dei qualificati non hanno potuto partecipare per colpa di infortuni: primo tra tutti il campione 2007 Ramy Ashour, poi Nick Matthew e Karim Darwish.
A Londra si è disputato il quinto grande torneo del 2008, e dopo Ramy Ashour, James Willstrop, Amr Shabana e David Palmer è stata la volta di Gregory Gaultier di alzare la coppa del primo.
